Long Term

I don't have any pictures yet (am waiting for the emails), but there was a major vehicle malfunction where the pulley came apart from the axle right before the performance. They had to push it...but all in all, they completed all their tasks and got around the course.

If I were guessing, I'd say that the heat softened the hot glue used to hold some of the pieces together. With it 85 degrees outside, it was often hotter in the storage room.

That said, their performance was the best they've given. They added a lot of lines, some of them even quite humorous, and they projected and spoke up. Their buddy team sat in the front row and cheered for them. With parents and grandparents and other people from Houston, we had quite the cheering section!

We're really proud of them as they worked hard, so hard, to make it to this point. They're sixth graders (and one seventh!) competing against older middle schoolers. They did amazing and we can't wait to learn how they placed.

There were 55 teams in their problem/division....so we'll see.
